How to Troubleshoot an RCA Model P52812BL Projection Television
- 1). Check the coaxial connection between the television set and the cable or DVD/VCR. If the cable is not screwed in correctly you will receive a fuzzy picture, and static may come in and out of the broadcast. If there is still a problem, remove the cable and inspect the connecting prong. If the pin in the middle is extremely bent or missing, you will need to replace the cable with a new one.
- 2). Check the bulb on the television if you power on the television but not image is appearing. Because the image is projected, a light bulb is needed to enlarge the image onto the RCA television's screen (similar to the projector in a movie theater). Check the bulb by opening the compartment door on the rear of the television. You will see the small glass bulb. Remove the bulb and see if it looks burnt out.
- 3). Change out the fuse of the television set. This can be done by removing it from the rear of the television. If the audio becomes too loud or the television is on for too long, the fuse can blow. This will cause the television to not function at all. Replace the fuse by sliding it back into the original location. Make sure not to keep the audio too loud.
