    • 1). Download and install iTunes on your computer. This program is required to add music from the computer to the iPhone.

    • 2). Plug the USB connection cable into the bottom of the iPhone. Plug the other end into the USB port on the computer.

    • 3). Open iTunes. It should automatically open, but if it does not, click "Start," then "All Programs" and select "iTunes."

    • 4). Click the "Music" tab in the left panel.

    • 5). Left-click on a music file in the right panel and hold the mouse button down. Drag the file to the "iPhone" selection under "Device" in the left window panel.

    Automatically Synchronizing iTunes and iPhone

    • 1). Plug the iPhone's connection cable into the iPhone and the USB end into a USB port on the computer.

    • 2). Open iTunes. If it does not automatically, click "Start," highlight "All Programs" and click "iTunes."

    • 3). Check the "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" box in the "Summary" tab that appears in the center of the screen. Once this is checked, all music files in iTunes will automatically be copied to the iPhone. You can see the progress in the tan box at the top of iTunes. It will say "Synchronization Complete" when finished.
