Combining Facebook and Twitter For More Effective Social Media Marketing

Almost all internet marketers are using some form of social media marketing as a part of their internet marketing strategy.
It is free.
The only cost to you is your time and creativity.
It can yield great results at little cost, a high ROI.
To produce positive results using social media marketing requires the use of attraction marketing.
If you are constantly pitching your business and offering no value then people will 'unfriend' you on Facebook and 'unfollow' you on Twitter.
There are many articles about how to best use Twitter in your marketing efforts so I won't cover that in detail.
I will include a link to an article that explains it at the end of this article.
If your goal is to just have people click on the links in your tweets then, great just use Twitter.
On the other hand, if you want to develop relationships you need to go a little further.
What does the word network mean to you? One of the definitions offered by Webster is "a usually informally interconnected group or association of persons (as friends or professional colleagues)".
Therefore, network marketing should be about creating an "interconnected group" in other words, a team.
Begin With Twitter Here's one way to develop a team using social media marketing as part of your internet marketing strategy.
You need a Twitter account.
If you don't already have an account go get one and start getting some followers.
I'm going to assume that you have not just crawled out of a cave in some remote corner of the world and you can accomplish this on your own! See the aforementioned article for tips on effective tweeting.
You should have your Facebook profile page set as your website that appears in your Twitter profile.
Your personal blog is also acceptable.
Then it will appear in the upper right of your Twitter page.
People are much more likely to check you out if you make it easy and comfortable for them.
Combining Twitter and Facebook As soon as someone starts following you on Twitter or retweets something of yours or has direct contact with you in some other way DO NOT start pitching you biz op! That is a huge turn off for most people.
What you can do is ask about the other person.
Say 'Hey what is it that you use twitter for?' or something like that.
IF they respond to you then you can suggest that you become friends on Facebook.
You can even take the initiative here and add that person as a friend on FB.
Make sure you send a message when you request their friendship saying something like 'Hey, remember you sent me a message on Twitter'.
Remember, this is about attraction marketing not 'beat you over the head with my opportunity marketing'! Once you are friends on FB then you can really start to build a relationship with this person (remember the definition of network?).
Again, offer value.
Share things that are valuable to you.
Also, here is where you can let people know about what you have to offer without beating them over the head with it.
You can send messages to people like 'Hey I was on this great free training webinar offered by my company last night and they taught us..
..
..
..
...
thought maybe you could use this info'.
The idea is to create the desire to learn more.
Some people will end up asking you what company you belong to.
BINGO! Now you can beat them over the head! Just kidding, no beating please! But really, this is your first and maybe only chance to present your opportunity to this person.
So make it good without beating anyone.
Using this method may seem like a lot of work to some of you.
But think about the rewards.
Using this approach you may end up with a really great team member who can duplicate your success.
Using the beating over the head method rarely brings the same result.
By the way, I learned this from a free webinar presented by the company that I am a part of, Carbon Copy Pro.
I did add a little of myself into it, as all good marketers would.
Remember life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.
Create a leader.
You can search Ezine for my other article about using about using Twitter for internet marketing.
Apparently, they didn't like the link to it in this article.
