How to Load Music Into an iPod Nano
- 1). Download and install the latest version of iTunes if you do not already have it. After completing the update, connect your iPod Nano to the computer using the USB cable that came with your media player and launch iTunes. iTunes will display your iPod in the left panel under "Devices."
- 2). Click your iPod Nano under "Devices" and click the "Music" tab. Click the "Sync Music" check-box and select the syncing option you want to use. For example, select "Entire Music Library" if you want to upload all the songs in the iTunes library to your iPod Nano; select "Selected playlists, artists and genres" if you want to upload specific songs and playlists. If you select this option, click the playlists and songs you want to upload to your device. When you finish making your selection, click "Sync." iTunes will upload the songs to your iPod Nano.
- 3). Click the "Podcasts" tab if you want to upload podcasts to your iPod Nano. Click the "Sync Podcasts" check-box, select the podcasts that you want to upload to your player and click "Sync."
- 4). Right-click your iPod Nano under "Devices" and click "Eject." Disconnect your player from the computer.

Alternatively, upload songs using the "Autofill," while you are in manual management mode. To use autofill, click the drop-down arrow next to your iPod under "Devices." Click "Music Library" and click "Settings" to select the autofill options that you want to use. When you finish, click "Autofill." iTunes will automatically sync as much music as possible to your iPod.
- 4). Right-click your iPod Nano under "Devices" and click "Eject." Disconnect your player from the computer.
