- The Monster MPA 5150 features five laboratory-grade power meters that display the amount of power the amplifier is using to create the sound. It also has buttons that control the brightness of the sound and the power input. The amplifier uses Monster Mirrored Amplifier Technology that mirrors the output signal to the input signal through different circuits to reduce feedback.
- The MPA 5150 is 20.2 inches deep, 17.1 inches wide and 7 inches high. Constructed of heavy black metal with venting holes punched into it, the amplifier weighs 75 lbs. It comes with detachable rack ears. The center section of the amplifier is made of brushed aluminum separated into five vertical sections that resemble books lined up. Four sections have one power meter and one button each, and the center section a power meter and three buttons.
- Capable of putting out surround sound, the Monster 5150 has a signal-to-noise ratio of 113 decibels. It can handle up to five input and five output channels and is rated to 750 watt total output power. The output power is rated at 150 watts per channel at 8 ohms and at 250 watts per channel at 4 ohms of power. The impedance of the input signal is 50 kilo-ohms, and the input sensitivity is 1.25 volts.
- All connections on the Monster MPA 5150 are located on the rear of the amplifier. The connections include two trigger connections, one center-speaker output, two rear-speaker outputs and two front-speaker outputs, all of which have banana-to-spade connections. The amplifier also has four rear-channel audio inputs and four front-channel audio inputs, each featuring two XLR audio inputs and two RCA Phono inputs. The single center channel has one XLR input and one RCA Phono input.
