How to Add Metadata to Old Style Blogger Templates

1). Log in to your Blogger account to open the Dashboard page that contains a list of your blogs. Click “Design” under the name of the blog to which you want to add meta data.
2). Click “Edit HTML” tab in the Blogger Design submenu across the top of the page. Go to the “Edit Template” section toward the top of the page.
3). Find the first “<head>” tag in the HTML code box in the Edit Template section. Press the “F3” key on your computer keyboard and use the page search function to find the “<head>” tag quickly without having to read hundreds of lines of HTML code.
4). Paste or type the meta tag anywhere between the first “<head>” tag and the first “</head>” tag. You don’t need to place the meta tags with the other meta data; the code works as long as you place it in the first header section.
5). Click “Save Template” at the bottom of the Edit Template section to save and publish the changes to your blog.
