MPAA Rating: R for strong violence and language throughout, drug use and sexual content

Michael Caine has played lovable elderly men in recent years, but in the violent, gritty Harry Brown, he reverts to the kind of character he portrayed in Get Carter (1971). Harry Brown (Caine) lives in a crime-ridden South London neighborhood where drug-addled young thugs are a continual menace, and the police, led by a detective played by Emily Mortimer, can't do much about it.

Although Harry is a pensioner well into his 70s, after his last remaining friend is killed, he falls back on his training as a Royal Marine and reluctantly transforms himself into a ferocious vigilante.
