- 1). Connect the "AV Multi Out" cord to the corresponding plug on the back of the PS3. Connect the yellow end of the cord to the yellow video input on the side or back of the television -- this will be marked "Video Input" on most televisions. Leave the white and red cords hanging, or insert them into the "L Audio" and "R Audio" in whatever order you like to get them out of the way.
- 2). Connect the "AC IN" cord to the back right of the PS3. Plug the other end into the wall.
- 3). Plug an optional "HDMI OUT" cable into the back of the PS3. Plug the other end into the "HDMI IN" location on your television if it is a newer flatscreen model with a flat back. The cord increases the quality of the video and sound.
