How to Clean an MP3 Video Player
- 1). Turn off your MP3/video player. You don't want to accidentally press any buttons while cleaning the unit, especially if the unit has a touch screen.
- 2). Take a dry, clean, soft cloth and wipe down the unit's screen and outer case. This will remove any smudges and flecks of dirt from both the screen and the case.
- 3). Blow into the headphone jack input on the MP3/Video player with a can of compressed air. If any dust or dirt gets into this jack, it can prevent the audio signal from being properly transmitted from the device to your headphones. If you don't want to purchase a can of compressed air, you can simply blow into the headphone jack for the same effect.
- 4). Blow into the data transfer cable input with your can of compressed air. If any dust or dirt gets into this jack, it can prevent data signals from being transferred from your MP3/video player to your computer during the syncing process. If you don't want to purchase a can of compressed air, you can simply blow into the headphone jack for the same effect.
