Guide Review - ?Talk to Her? DVD Review
I loved this inventive Spanish-language film, which is written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. I suppose it?s basically a melodrama, but I like the way it incorporates elements of comedy, music, and dance. I found the story very emotionally involving, but I won?t spoil your fun by telling you too much about it. In ?Talk to Her,? a pudgy male nurse obsessively cares for a comatose beautiful young female dance student he barely knows. Meanwhile, a female bullfighter is gored and goes into a coma, and her male lover tries to come to terms with the situation. But something creepy happens, and the entwined lives of these four people take surprising turns. I?ll admit this film is strange and unsettling, but I found it quite moving.
