The Sony 55XBR8 Vs. the 52XBR7
- The 55XBR8 is 58.7 inches wide, 5.8 inches deep and 31.6 inches tall. It weighs 101.6 lbs and is 55 inches along the diagonal. The 55XBR7 is slightly smaller, measuring 52 inches across the diagonal. It measures 49.5 inches wide, 5 inches deep and 32.4 inches tall without the pedestal. It weighs in at 95 lbs. Both screens come in the color gloss piano black.
- Both televisions have a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 1080p display format. Both screens are widescreen. The only major difference between the two televisions is that the 55XBR8 has an LED backlight while the 52XBR7 has an LCD backlight.
