PowerDVD 8 Audio is Out of Sync
- 1). Inspect the DVD disc itself for dirt, smudges and scratches that could cause a variety of playback errors. Clean the disc and play it again. If the problem persists, try other DVDs to confirm the problem is with the machine and not the media themselves.
- 2). Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Windows Update" to update Windows and Windows Media Player. Click "Start" and type "dxdiag" in the search box and hit "Enter" to see your version of DirectX. You must have DirectX 9.0 or later. Download the latest DirectX from Microsoft online.
- 3). Press "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" together to open Windows Task Manager and look for any processes that are using up a large amount of system resources. Other applications may be taking processor or memory resources that PowerDVD needs to run efficiently. Close all other applications and run the DVD again to see if the problem persists.
- 4). Turn the computer off and remove the side panel if audio and video are still out of sync. Secure and seat all hardware properly. If you are using a third-party video card, consult the included documentation and follow any troubleshooting methods recommended for your product.
- 5). Consult the CyberLink support team or your computer manufacturer if the problem remains. It's possible that the computer has a more serious issue and may need repair. Have your registration numbers and documentation handy before calling tech support.
