How to Build a Mini Amp
- 1). Cut three lengths of electrical wire, and strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of each wire.
- 2). Twist together the operational amplifier output lead (pin 1) with one of the leads on the 5KΩ resistor, and solder the connection.
- 3). Twist together the free lead of the 5KΩ resistor with the inverting input connection (pin 2) and with one of the 1KΩ resistor leads. Solder this connection.
- 4). Twist together one end of the first wire with the 1KΩ resistor, and solder the connection.
- 5). Attach one end of the third wire to the operational amplifier ground connection (pin 4), and solder the connection.
- 6). Twist together the free ends of the first and third wires, and attach the wire pair to the negative terminal on the power supply.
- 7). Attach one end of the third wire to the operational amplifier power pin (pin 8), and solder the wire to the pin.
- 8). Attach the free end of the third wire to the positive terminal on the power supply.
- 9). Attach the signal input to the operational amplifier non-inverting input pin (pin 3).
- 10
Attach the signal output lead to the operational amplifier output pin (pin 1).
