- 1). Turn on your camcorder and make sure it is functioning properly. Turn on the remote access switch on your satellite box on the camera, and make sure all the signals are being received and sent properly.
- 2). Connect the wireless microphone to the shirt near the neck of the person you're recording. Attach the wireless mic box that is attached to the microphone to his/her belt loop out of sight. Turn on the mic box.
- 3). Plug the wireless mic receiver into the audio input in your camcorder and turn on the wireless microphone receiver. You should be able to check both left and right audio levels on the camera screen.
- 4). Adjust the volume of the microphone on the camera. If the audio levels are going into the red color zone when the person is talking, turn down the volume so that the levels barely reach the red.
